I would like to start his blog with thankfulness. I am thankful for you, the reader, for taking the time out of your day to read what I have to say.
My daughter made me the sweetest poster for Mother’s Day 💛 I truly love it. At the time I thought it was funny that under “favorite hobby” she chose cooking and under “what my mom has taught me” she said shopping.
But then my son said basically the same thing to me in a deep introspective Facebook questionnaire I decided to throw at him one afternoon:
I would also like to point out that we both are made happy by elephants because he couldn’t think of anything to say for me so he just said “I guess elephants?”….and he has never seen an elephant in real life.
But I digress.
So I don’t expect my 3 year old and 6 year old to have this deep knowledge of my hobbies, but I was kind of sad when I looked at their answers. Because those are literally the only things I do around them.
So I am on a mission to change their perception of who I am and show them by example. Hopefully through this, my children will be inspired by their mother and give better answers like “my moms favorite thing to do is be a bad ass at everything”. (Or something like that)
I love our environment. My friends and family all know this through social media and just things I stand by, but how would my children know that? I have a deep belief in helping our fellow man, but how have I outwardly demonstrated that to my children? The answer is simple. I have not.
So I plan on leading by example, and invite you to join us 💛
