Joanna Gaines Banana bread

You can find the recipe here on Joanna Gaines Blog (which I adore and read religiously).

Here is the recipe:

1cup sugar

1 stick softened butter

2 eggs

4 mashed bananas (very ripe)

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking sode

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

My bananas look like that because I froze them earlier in the week.

I came home and saw they needed to be eaten pretty soon, and decided that we probably wouldn’t eat them but I didn’t want to waste them.

My mother in law freezes bananas all the time so I suck them in the freezer with the intention that we would make banana bread with them this weekend.

As if by divine intervention, on one of my breaks at work I was checking out Joanna Gaines blog and she had JUST posted her banana bread recipe! Coincidence? I think not.

So we set out on this beautiful Saturday morning to make her banana bread!

Step one:

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.

Step two:

Add eggs and mashed bananas.

Step three: mix in remaining ingredients

Step four (my own step, not Joanna’s):

I added a table spoon of honey. I love honey, and I have some from a local bee keeper that I’ve been wanting to use!

Step five:

Pour into 9×13 greased pan

And bake at

For 30-40 mins

I always go half way.

She recommends you serve it warm with a pat of butter on top. We second that, and we do you one more by also drizzling some honey on top 😍

Must be eaten in the backyard on the porch swing because this was about making a new memory ✌🏻️
